Coupons, Rebates and Rewards

Who doesn't love to save money.   Today was a wonderful day.

I saved $15.00 on my oil change using the sign up coupon I got when I signed up for the Auto Rewards Club a few months ago.

I then went to Staples.  Got some ink for one of the printers and because I had 3 empty non-hp ink cartridges to turn it, I will get this month's special of $10.00 Rewards each (limit 3).  THAT'S $30.00 in rewards.... FREE MONEY TO SPEND .... Oh, and did I mention that I get 100% back in rewards for the 16 package of AA batteries I bought, that's another $10.  (I really didn't think I needed the AAA but I can alway go back before Saturday)

I stopped and filled the Aztek gas tank and used my AAA credit card that will give me 2% back on gas purchases ... and I even got the good gas.... Exxon with that special molecule that will keep my engine running cleaner.  Hey, why not, the credit card price was the same as all the other gas stations.   Sorry Petro19, you are just not a bargain this week.

I am thinking of using the credit card to pay this month's phone/internet/cable bill.   That should be worth about $3 that will help pay the AAA bill when it comes in.

I am ashamed to say though that my husband has me beat with his grocery couponing.   Last weeks grocery bill was about $104..... after all the coupons came off,  it was just over $60.   I don't know how he does it, he has a gift.

I wonder if you could make a living shopping for others and keeping all the coupon saving ?
